The license
When you buy Murmur you get a personal, non-transferable license to use it on up to 3 Macs you own or use, with free updates for all of version 1. Future major versions may be offered as a paid upgrade; the version you bought keeps working.
Free trial
Murmur is free for your first 2,000 dictated words, with every feature unlocked. Confirm your email and you get 3,000 more, once per Mac. After that, dictation pauses until you buy a license. Your notes, history and settings stay on your Mac either way. Please don't try to reset or work around the free word count.
Payment and refunds
Orders are processed by Polar, our merchant of record, which handles payment, tax and invoices. If Murmur isn't right for you, email us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Refunded licenses are deactivated.
Fair use
- Don't share, resell or publish your license key.
- Don't try to bypass licensing or redistribute the app.
AI output
Transcription and AI polish can make mistakes. Check important text before you send it. You are responsible for what you write with Murmur.
No warranty
Murmur is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Murmur.
Changes
We may update these terms. Changes don't take away rights you already have under the version you bought.
